Last Picture of You

“The ‘send-off’ communicates a lot  about life; what life means to us, what we want, need and how we would like  to be remembered.”

Questions for 2023

So much has happened for all of us over the years and loss has been around us much more. As several conversations around the subject came up  in a short period of time and a direct request, I’ve started the process to revisit the Last Picture of You. I would like to encourage people to share their last wishes and discuss this area more.

The replies will be developed into an installation over Deptford X festival 22nd September to 1st October 2023. On the opening night, there will be poetry (Cheri Gillings). Over the course of the two weeks there will be a workshop around the subject matter from well-being coach (Katie Leefe) and a session/potential book club around organising a home in advance or after someone has passed (Ema Di Monte).

The questions below include an opportunity to respond to some questions around last wishes, you are welcome to use some or all of them as prompts and put your reply in writing, audio (whatsapp?), live presentation, video with captions enabled or through a conversation or even playlist. Whatever works for you. You also don’t have to use these and something else might be flowing that you want to share around the same theme and last wishes, then go for it. I’ll see how and what I can use when I get the replies.
